Rare Salvador Dali Pictures
We are delighted to report that we have just secured five rare Salvador Dali pictures into the Galleries. Each are signed by Dali himself in his well known flamboyant style. These pictures represent good investments. Four of the pictures are No.1 from their edition, the very first picture to come from the limited edition. We also have a Dali picture that is a proof copy of the art, making it a very rare piece. We were fortunate to buy them from the same source, from someone who had owned them for years. This is the first time they have been displayed like this in public. Come and have a look!
These pictures come from the early 1970′s and show Dali at his best – vivid dreamlike images showing the state of our subconscious mind. Taking his lead from Sigmund Freud’s theory of the subconscious, they represent not only a leap in artistic development in the history of art, but also a scientific development as Doctors start to understand the workings of the mind. The colours of each picture are as vivid as when they were produced. They have been looked after well and in unusually good condition.
This is the first exhibition of this type in Oxfordshire so I suggest you come and see. It will be one that will be remembered. Feel free to browse, even if you are not thinking of buying them. As a second best option you can also see a picture of them in the Oxford Literary Festival Guide in the Oxford Times this week, as we have a full page showing these rare items.
Don’t leave it long, they will be bought and then disappear into people’s private collections. You are welcome to book an appointment for a private viewing if you are considering purchasing one of them. Phone 01865 727996 in Oxford, or 01993 708606 in Witney.
