ABOUT THE GALLERIES

The Meller Merceux galleries specialise in modern and contemporary art. Two spaces currently showcase high profile work. The first can be found on the High Street in central Oxford and naturally serves those in the area between Oxford and London. The second is on the High Street in Witney and offers a great base for those seeking art in the Burford and Cotswold area.

As a leading gallery outside of London, their reach is much wider than might be presumed and both space witness a high degree of international sales. They have a diverse selection of work and offer investment pieces from 1900 onwards. These range from the likes of Picasso, Dali and Chagall, right through to Hepworth and Moore.

In addition, there is a sizeable contemporary section which displays work from living artists. They range from established giants of the art world such as Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons to rising stars such as Barbara Grenet and Suzie Emery.

The galleries are directed by Aidan Meller, who comes from a collector’s background. He specialises in modern and contemporary art and is regarded as an expert in this field. Meller continues to work closely with private collectors and is often consulted by those who wish to begin, or further develop, their collections with some form of cohesiveness. Discussing work and developing collections take place in social settings such as private views and art fairs:
